Four friends – Gill, Sarah, Julie and Susan - set up Angels Housekeeping in 2005. Sarah and Julie were running a small business called Dust Angels, cleaning people’s homes in the south of Leeds. Gill was working for a charity supporting older people – and was forever recommending Dust Angels to people because she knew what an amazing job Sarah and Julie were doing. Susan was busy giving birth to twin boys and joined later having spent almost 20 years working for Kirklees social services in residential care.

With support from Keeping House, Angels Housekeeping was born in August 2005 (along with Gill's daughter!).

Keeping House, www.keepinghouse.org.uk, is an initiative which supports social enterprises to deliver services to older people and disabled people and Gill, Julie, Sarah and Susan are hugely grateful for its continuing support.

'Angels has grown more quickly than we could have hoped for – and we now have more than 300 happy customers.'

Most of these customers are older people – many of whom refer their friends to Angels.
